Steinmetz modified Opel Insignia Sports Tourer OPC
Saturday, December 19th, 2009 Number of View: 652Steinmetz and Klasen Motors developed the fastest production Opel in the world. Insignia Sports Tourer OPC was modified so it would deliver 400Hp at 5250rpm and it reached a top speed of 287.4km/h. The standard version of the Insignia Sports Tourer OPC delivered 325Hp and 435Nm of torque, having a 2.8l twin-turbo V6 engine.
The torque of this new enhanced engine is 550Nm.The extra power was obtained thanks to a modified intercooler, a bigger turbo with a greater evacuation system, a modified injection system and a re-programed ECU.The performance modifications are completed with a tuning kit composed out of Steinmetz ST7 20″ alloy wheels,lowered suspension, a new front grill, a new front bumper and a new aileron.
The record obtained by Steinmetz and Klasen Motors was obtained on the Nardo circuit in Italy.The tuning kit was created by Steinmetz while Klasen Motors took care of the performance.
