Chromed McLaren Mercedes
A McLaren Mercedes SLR chromed was photographed in Dubai.The owner of this supercar felt the need to be more special than the other supercar owners in the area.Even if this looks like it is covered with chrome,it actually is painted with a special ink that looks like chrome.
It is called The FantaChrome paint and it costs a lot less than actually covering the car with chrome.Almost any matherial can be covered with this kind of paint and can have different colors like gold,chrome,silver,green,blue, bronze and a lot of other colors.
The first tuning package for Opel Insignia
Opel Insignia, the one that took the place of Vectra, raised a special interest since it was launched this summer. The new design pattern adopted by Opel attracted more and more tuning houses that want to create something impressive.
The fist step was made by Irmscher,the fist tuning company that created a bodykit for the American Opel.The fist tuning package for Insignia includes a new front bumper with stainless steel insertions,a redone rear bumper with 4 cromed exhauts, side skirts and an aileron mounted on the trunk.
The package is completed by a pair of 20″ alloy wheels.
ABT modified Volkswagen Scirocco
ABT created a tuning package for Volkswagen Scirocco. Three engine sets were modified.The 1.4l TSI engine now owns 200Hp not 160 as the main Scirocco.With the ABT package the 2.0l TSI engine owns 240HP, 40 extra Hp as the factory model.
The german tuner also thought about the diesel fans so the 2.0l TDI engine has now 170Hp and not 140Hp as the factory model.The manevrability and the sound of Scirocco were also improved,ABT offering the car a new braking system and harder springs and also a double evac with 4 tubes.
The ABT package for Volkswagen Scirocco costs 5.999 euros and will be available starting with january 2009.It contains the design package,19″ wheels AR model,double evac with 4 tubes and the springs.
To have a more aggressive look, ABT Scirocco got a body kit, composed by the front bumper,front grill,side skirts and rear bumper.ABT sportsline recommends BR and AR wheel models made by them, for a better look.
Hamann tuned Aston Martin V8 Vantage
The German tuning house, Hamann, presents it`s new creation to the public,developed on the Aston Martin V8 Vantage model.
The bodykit includes an improved front bumper,side skirts and an carbon fiber extension of the rear bumper.All body elements created by Hamann have a carbon fiber or fiberglass look.
The exterior is completed by a 21″ wheel set Hamann Edition Race,an aluminum evacuation system that gives 20 extra Hp to the V8 engine and a sport suspension set.
Under the hood, Hamann modified the ECU of the V8 4.3l 358Hp engines and 4.7l 426 engines managing to get 23 extra hp to the firs engine and 30 to the second.Also the torque went up with 25-30Nm.A
The top speed was also improved, from 283km/h to 290km/h(for the 4.3l engine) and from 288 to 295km/h(for the 4.7l engine)
Kleemann tunes CLK 63 AMG Black Series
The engineers at Kleemann considered that Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series could express a lot more power.They obtained 38 extra HP to the V8 6.2l engine that now has 545HP.
The main difference is represented by the new evacuation system,that permits the engine to breath.The result is 7% more power and 40Nm of extra torque.CLK 63 AMG Black Series got it`s software “tuned up” and with it the engine now has 675Nm of torque.
The car is equipped with 20″ wheels.The transmission wasn`t modified keeping it`s unique qualities it already proved on the clasic version of CLK 63 AMG Black Series.
